- The Start of Girl Scouts Story
- Juliette Gordon Low: The Spark Across the Ocean coloring page
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils
- (Optional) Space to display finished coloring page
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–15 min):
- Learn Daisy’s story. (2–3 min)
- Read about how Daisy started Girl Guides in Scotland and England before bringing the idea to the United States in the Start of Girl Scouts Story.
- Notice how friendship and global connection helped shape the start of Girl Scouts.
- Look at the coloring page. (1–2 min)
- Point out Daisy’s image on the 2025 quarter.
- Notice the symbols and words on the coin.
- Color the quarter. (4–6 min)
- Use crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color the picture.
- Add details or patterns that remind you of friendship or the start of Girl Scouts.
- Add personal touches. (2–3 min)
- Write a word or draw a small symbol that represents Daisy’s spark or global friendship.
- Reflect together. (1–2 min)
- Share one thing learned about Daisy and how friendship helped Girl Scouts grow around the world.
