Games – Three Word Interview

Activity Description: Youth interview a partner and then describe them using only three words.


Items Needed:

  • None (just the group and their creativity!)

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 8–12 min):

  1. Pair up with a partner. (1 min)
    • Assign each youth to another youth in the group.
  2. Learn about each other. (2–3 min)
    • Youth take turns asking questions to learn about their partner.
    • Suggested topics include name, hobbies, family, state, school, and favorite things.
  3. Add a challenge. (2–3 min)
    • (Optional) Each youth focuses only on their partner while a different youth interviews them at the same time.
  4. Describe their partner. (3–5 min)
    • Youth choose three words that best describe their partner.
    • Youth share their three‑word descriptions with the group.
