Topic: G.S. Cookies

All activities relating to selling cookies as a member of GSUSA.

  • G.S. Cookies – Goals: Every level mentions a troop goal except the last Ambassador badge. Most require just to set a troop sales goal and personal goal. Others require setting a troop budget or using the SMART goal system. A few require making a tracker for your goal.
  • G.S. Cookies – Facts: Most levels only need to know the cookie flavors and box prices. One of the Brownies badges requires practice making change. Cadettes take it further by researching a specific aspect of cookie sales, such as marketing, taste testing, or customer trends.
  • G.S. Cookies – Customers: Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors start with learning what to say and who to say it to. As scouts progress, they refine their sales pitches, brainstorm customer lists and outreach, and practice sharing the purpose behind the sale.
  • G.S. Cookies – Plans: Starting with Brownies, every Cookie Business badge includes some form of planning. Brownies begin by assigning team roles, while older scouts create sales strategies and full marketing campaigns. Planning may include booth teamwork, spirit elements like costumes or songs, detailed sales plans with feedback, and scheduled marketing efforts.
  • G.S. Cookies – C/S/A Extras: The older (C/S/A) levels adds one or two extra requirements that go beyond the basics four topics. These steps explore topics like business goals, mentoring younger scouts, business ethics, social responsibility, resumes, portfolios, and value propositions. These can be kept simple or explored in more depth depending on your troop. To earn the Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin, Cadettes must also learn about financial planning, while Seniors and Ambassadors must complete both a Cookie Business badge and a Financial Literacy badge.
