WTD – Plan a Take Action Project

Activity Description: Plan a simple Take Action project by choosing a problem you learned about during World Thinking Day activities and deciding how to help.


Items Needed:

  • Paper
  • Pencil or crayons
  • (Optional) Extra paper for drawing ideas

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–20 min):

  1. Identify the problem. (3–5 min)
    • Think about a problem you learned about during World Thinking Day activities. Write or draw the problem on paper.
  2. Brainstorm ways to help. (4–6 min)
    • Come up with simple ideas for how you and/or your troop could help.
    • Think about actions that are safe, kind, and possible for youth to do.
  3. Choose one idea. (2–3 min)
    • Pick one idea that feels helpful and doable. Decide if it will be a troop project or something you can do on your own.
  4. Make a plan. (3–5 min)
    • Write or draw the steps needed to complete the project. Think about who can help and what supplies you might need.
  5. Reflect together. (2–3 min)
    • Share why this project matters and how it can make a difference.
    • (Optional) Vote on which project the troop will do.
