WTD – Create a Song

Activity Description: Sing “The World Song” together and create a new song or poem about this year’s World Thinking Day theme.


Items Needed:

  • Device to play “The World Song” video
  • Paper and pencils
  • (Optional) Props such as flags, ribbons, or simple decorations

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 15–20 min):

  1. Listen to the song. (2–3 min)
    • Play “The World Song” so everyone can hear the melody and words.
  2. Sing together. (3–4 min)
    • Sing along as a group.
    • (Optional) Add simple props, hand movements, or claps to match the rhythm.
  3. Create a new song or poem. (6–8 min)
    • In small groups, write a short song or poem about this year’s World Thinking Day theme. Use simple words or short lines that show friendship and unity.
  4. Share the creations. (3–5 min)
    • Take turns performing the new song or poem.
    • (Optional) Add motions or props to make the performance more fun.
