Activity Description: Youth create a themed goal tracker from an egg carton to mark their progress toward a six‑step goal.

Items Needed:

• Printable mascot and 6 medallions
  • Dottie’s BFF Egg Carton Tracker Craft
• Half egg carton (cut lengthwise)
• Two strips of green construction paper
• Popsicle stick (1 per youth)
• Coloring supplies
• Glue
• Scissors
• (Optional) Extra paper for decorating

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20–25 min):

1. Prepare the supplies. (2–3 min)
   • Youth collect the printables, egg carton, green paper strips, popsicle stick, coloring tools, glue, and scissors.
   • An adult helps youth cut a small slit in the bottom of each egg well, just big enough for the popsicle stick to fit.
2. Color and cut the pieces. (4–5 min)
   • Color the mascot and all 6 medallions before cutting them out.
3. Write the goal benchmarks. (3–4 min)
   • Divide their goal into 6 steps and write one benchmark on each medallion, with the final goal on the 6th medallion.
4. Make the mascot marker. (2–3 min)
   • Glue the mascot to the popsicle stick, leaving space at the bottom to place the stick into the egg carton.
5. Make the grass. (3–4 min)
   • Cut slits halfway down the long edge of each green paper strip.
   • Roll or curl the cut edges so they look like grass.
6. Attach the grass and medallions. (3–4 min)
   • Glue the two green strips along one side of the upside‑down egg carton.
   • Glue the medallions in order on the other side of the carton, one on each egg well.
7. Track progress. (1–2 min)
   • Youth move the mascot to each new egg well as they reach each benchmark toward their goal.
