Activity Description: Youth create a short, easy‑to‑share TinyURL link for their website.
Items Needed:
- Computer, laptop, or tablet
- Internet access
- Website link
- (Optional) Custom word or phrase for the TinyURL
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 5–10 min):
- Copy the long link. (1–2 min)
- Youth open their website with an adult’s help. Copy the full website address from the browser bar.
- Go to the TinyURL website. (1–2 min)
- Youth open a new tab and go to TinyURL.com.
- Paste the link. (1–2 min)
- Youth paste the long link into the box that asks for a URL.
- Create the TinyURL. (1–2 min)
- Youth click the button to shorten the link and wait for the new TinyURL to appear.
- Copy and save the TinyURL. (1–2 min)
- Youth copy the new short link and save it to use on flyers, messages, or other materials.
