  • Paper cup
  • String (about 12–18 inches)
  • Scrap paper
  • Tape
  • Scissors

  1. Make the paper ball. (3 min)
    • Crumple scrap paper into a small ball that fits inside the cup.
    • (Optional) Wrap the ball in tape to make it sturdier.
  2. Cut the string. (2 min)
    • Cut a piece of string about as long as a ruler.
  3. Attach the string to the ball. (3 min)
    • Tape one end of the string securely to the paper ball.
