Youth Activity Archive

Activity Description: Youth sing the Wigalow song together to learn each other’s names in a fun way.

Items Needed:

• None (just the group and their creativity!)
• Leader needs to know the Wigalow Song
• (Optional) Name tags for Youth and adult partners

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–15 min):

1. Gather youth and adult partners. (2–3 min)
   • Clear an area so everyone can stand in a circle. Make sure everyone is included in the circle.
2. Explain the Wigalow Song. (2–3 min)
   • Tell youth the song will help everyone learn names. Walk them through a verse.
3. Begin singing the Wigalo song. (6–8 min)
   • Start with one youth and adult partner. Continue until everyone has been called and introduced.
