Activity Description: Youth create a simple honor board using cords and beads to track attendance, achievements, and positive behavior.

Items Needed:
- Poster board or foam board
- Markers for names and decorations
- Hole punch
- Yarn or cord, one piece for each Youth
- Pony beads in different colors (i.e. Blue, Yellow, White, and Gold)
- (Optional) Stickers or patches for decoration
Before the Meeting Starts:
- Prepare the board. (5–7 min)
- Write each youth’s name on the board. Leave space under each name for a cord.
- Punch holes under each name. (3–4 min)
- Make one hole for each cord.
- Attach cords. (3–4 min)
- Tie one cord through each hole. Make sure cords hang down freely.
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 5–10 min):
- Explain bead colors. (1–2 min)
- Blue for attending meetings and activities.
- Yellow for wearing the uniform.
- White for earning a required Adventure.
- Gold for earning an elective Adventure.
- (Optional) Add more colors for other recognitions.
- Find their names. (1–2 min)
- Have each youth come up and point to their name (assist as needed for early readers). This helps them know where their beads will be and helps the group get to know each member.
- Award beads at the end of each meeting. (5–7 min)
- Youth add beads to their cord by sliding them on and tying a knot below the last bead.
- Use the honor board regularly. Encourage Youth to earn beads through positive behavior. Do not remove beads once they are earned.
- Leaders can check cords to see participation or reach out to adult partners if youth are missing beads.
