Activity Description: Youth design cookie team trading cards to show their strengths and skills.
Items Needed:
- Index cards
- Drawing and coloring supplies
- (Optional) Trading card examples
- (Optional) Extra paper for team planning
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–40 min):
- (Optional) Look at trading card examples. (5 min)
- Show how cards have a picture on one side and details below the picture or on the opposite side.
- Create individual cookie team trading cards. (10–20 min)
- Youth draw their picture on the cards.
- Below or on the other side, youth write details such as name, nickname, most useful cookie selling skill, favorite cookie, and whether they have sold cookies before.
- (Optional) Share trading cards with the group. (5–7 min)
- Youth explain their strengths and how they help the team.
- (Optional) Form three-person teams. (10–15 min)
- Youth combine cards to make small teams.
- Teams should include different skills that work well together.
