G.S. Cookies – Team Trading Cards – Youth Activity Archive

Activity Description: Youth design cookie team trading cards to show their strengths and skills.

Items Needed:

Index cards
Drawing and coloring supplies
(Optional) Trading card examples
(Optional) Extra paper for team planning

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 10–40 min):

(Optional) Look at trading card examples. (5 min)
- Show how cards have a picture on one side and details below the picture or on the opposite side.
Create individual cookie team trading cards. (10–20 min)
- Youth draw their picture on the cards.
- Below or on the other side, youth write details such as name, nickname, most useful cookie selling skill, favorite cookie, and whether they have sold cookies before.
(Optional) Share trading cards with the group. (5–7 min)
- Youth explain their strengths and how they help the team.
(Optional) Form three-person teams. (10–15 min)
- Youth combine cards to make small teams.
- Teams should include different skills that work well together.
