Voting – Stamp Voting

Activity Description: Youth vote on their favorite options by walking around the room and marking choices with personalized stamps, stickers, or colored markers.


Items Needed:

  • Options with descriptions displayed around the room
  • Stamps with ink pads, stickers, or colored markers

Before the Meeting Starts:

  1. Set up the room. (5–6 min)
    • Place options and descriptions around the room where youth can easily see them.

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 15–20 min):

  1. Explain the voting process. (2–3 min)
    • Show youth how to use their personalized stamp, sticker, or marker color to mark their choices. Remind them to look at each option before stamping.
  2. Walk and vote. (8–10 min)
    • Youth walk around the room and stamp once on their favorite options.
    • (Optional) Limit how many total stamps each youth can make.
  3. Count the votes. (4–6 min)
    • Collect the stamped sheets or posters. Count the number of stamps for each option.
    • Announce the option with the most votes. Record the decision so the group can follow it later.
