Voting – Mini Activity Voting

Activity Description: Youth try short mini activities before voting on their favorite choices.


Items Needed:

  • List of options and mini-activities that match the options
  • Materials for each mini activity (example: robot or car for robotics, video for dance)

Before the Meeting Starts:

  1. Prepare mini activities. (8–10 min)
    • Set up short activities related to each option.
    • Example: robotics with a remote‑controlled car, dance with a short video routine.

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 25–45 min):

  1. Try each mini activity. (10–25 min)
    • Youth rotate through the mini activities.
    • They test or experience each option before voting.
  2. Select top choices. (8–10 min)
    • Youth vote for their top options. See the different Voting activities, if needed.
  3. Count and review results. (4–6 min)
    • Tally the votes to find the most popular activities.
    • If two or more options tie, hold a second round of voting. Youth cast one vote each to decide the final choice.
    • Announce the winning activities. Record the decisions so the group can follow them later.
