Activity Description: Youths play a “Would You Rather” game to explore choices related to cookie season and troop activities.
Items Needed:
- List of “Cookie Would You Rather” questions (see list below activity instructions)
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20–30 min):
- Gather the group. (3–4 min)
- Youth sit together in a circle to play the game. Explain that they will hear different “Would You Rather” questions about cookie season and troop activities.
- Ask “Would You Rather” questions. (8–10 min)
- Read one question at a time, allowing the troop to decide as a group which option, or if they couldn’t decide between the two.
- Youth may share why they chose an option or why they feel unsure. Remind them that all answers are welcome and they can change their minds.
- Wrap up the activity. (3–4 min)
- Explain that sometimes they may need to choose between activities, and other times they can do more than one.
- (Optional) Use this as a launch into a discussion of what the troop would like to do with their cookie funds. See activities from the Set Goals category for more ideas on how to decide on a troop goal.
