G.S. Cookies – Cookie Necklace

Activity Description: Youth create a cookie necklace by cutting out cookie images and labeling cookie facts.


Items Needed:

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 15–30 min):

  1. Prepare cookie shapes. (5–8 min)
    • Youth cut out cookie images from a printed flyer.
    • (Optional) Youth draw their own cookie shapes on plain paper or cardstock and cut them out. (Adds 10–15 min)
  2. Punch holes. (3–4 min)
    • Use a hole puncher to make a hole at the top of each cookie cutout or a hole on each side of the cookie shape.
  3. Label cookie facts. (5–6 min)
    • Youth write the cookie name on the blank side of each cutout. Add simple flavor words such as chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, or gluten‑free.
    • Write the price of each cookie flavor.
  4. String the necklace. (5–6 min)
    • Youth thread the cookie pieces onto string or yarn. Tie into place if needed. Adjust spacing so the cookies hang comfortably.
  5. (Optional) Wear or display the necklace. (<1 min)
    • Youth wear their cookie necklaces to help remember cookie facts.
