Activity Description: Youth make a notebook to learn and share cookie names, flavors, and prices.
Items Needed:
- Girl Scout Cookie boxes, or any cardboard
- Plain paper
- Binder clips
- Scissors
- Writing and coloring supplies
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 20-40 min):
- Prepare notebook parts. (5-10 min)
- Cut cardboard from cookie boxes or other cardboard for the front and back covers.
- Gather plain paper for the inside pages.
- Assemble the notebook. (5-10 min)
- Place paper between the cardboard covers.
- Clip the notebook together with binder clips.
- (Optional) Youth may bind it differently or cut cookie-shaped pages. See step-by-step tutorials listed under the activity instructions.
- Add cookie facts. (10-15 min)
- Use order cards or Digital Cookie/Smart Cookies with an adult to find cookie names, flavors, and prices.
- Write the information on the notebook pages.
- Decorate with drawings or coloring supplies.
- (Optional) Share the notebook. (5-10 min)
- Youth display their notebook at a cookie booth. Use it to share cookie facts with customers.
