G.S. Cookies – Thank You Cards

Activity Description: Youths create thank you cards or stickers for delivery cookie sales.


Items Needed:

  • Card Base
  • Pens or Markers
  • (Optional) Scissors
  • (Optional) Printed QR Codes (in the correct size) for the Card Base
  • (Optional) Glue sticks
  • (Optional) Copier

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 5–15 min):

  1. Hand out card base. (2–3 min)
    • Give each youth several copies of the card base. Explain these are to use when you receive a cookie order that you then need to go out and deliver. It shows appreciation to customers and they can use the information to order cookies for a later delivery.
  2. Add the troop information. (4–6 min)
    • During the meeting, youths fill in the required information on the card base. Make sure to include information about the troop goal.
    • (Optional) Youth add their tiny URL or cut and paste a digital QR code file (or make a QR in Canva).
    • (Optional) They could fill a single page out and then make copies of the first sheet if a copier is available.
  3. (Optional) Cut cards. (4–6 min)
    • Cut out the cards on the sheet to be ready for use. (Not required if using a sticker sheet).
  4. Send thank you cards home. (2–3 min)
    • Remind the youth to follow the safety rules when delivering orders with their families.
