Question of the Day

Activity Description: Youths answer a fun or thought-provoking question to kick off the session.


Items Needed:

  • A list of questions (one for each meeting)
  • (Optional) Paper and pen to record answers or rotate question ideas

Before the Activity:

  1. Choose a question before the meeting (1–2 min)
    • Pick a question that fits the group’s mood, interests, or the day’s theme.
    • Examples: “What’s something that made you smile today?” or “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?”

Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 5–7 min):

  1. Ask the question during the meeting (3–5 min)
    • Invite each Youth to answer in one or two sentences.
    • Encourage them to keep it short, thoughtful, or fun.
    • Make sure everyone has a chance to share, but allow passes if needed.

Optional Reflection:

  1. Reflect or connect to the meeting (1–2 min)
    • Briefly link answers to the activity or theme if it fits.
    • Celebrate the variety of responses and thank Youth for sharing.
